2024-ATANC impacted over 3,000 individuals, including athletes, volunteers, coaches, and families, through more than 300 clinics, tournaments, and events across North Carolina. The organization hosted six major tournaments, with the Winston-Salem Abilities Tennis Tournament earning Special Tennis Event of the Year from the NC Tennis Association. Two ATANC unified doubles teams competed at the National Adaptive Tournament in Orlando, further showcasing the power of inclusive play. ATANC expanded its Abilities Access Grant program, helping athletes travel to compete in tournaments beyond their local areas. Strengthening partnerships across the state, ATANC launched new clinics in Fuquay-Varina, Gastonia, Mint Hill/Charlotte, and reinstated its Pinehurst clinic. Four ATANC coaches helped lead the Court of Dreams Adaptive Clinic at the US Open. Alex B. “Andy” Andrews IV joined the ATANC Board of Directors, and Executive Director Lou Welch continues to serve on the NC Tennis Foundation board and adaptive committees for USTA NC, USTA Southern, and USTA National.
