Adaptive Tennis Association Core Programs
PE Adaptive Tennis
PE Adaptive Tennis, one of our most successful programs, improves inclusion and well-being of students with intellectual disabilities. We work with the public school systems to provide adaptive tennis in PE classes, both teacher-led and student-led (PE Pupil Instruction program) and through Unified Doubles as an extra-curricular activity.
Through our partnership with local community tennis associations and other non-profit organizations, we offer free tennis clinics throughout the state of North Carolina. These youth/adult clinics are open to all persons with intellectual disabilities.
Our athletes of all ages and levels love to get together and compete at tournaments. We currently host, with regional partners, four tournaments a year throughout the state including a national tournament that draws athletes from all over the United States.
